Email Newsletter February

The February newsletter has a highlight of some of our activities happening this month.  Be sure to visit the parish website www.st-raphaels.com for more details about this month's activities.

Fr. Tim Sherwood, Pastor

Construction Begins

Just as a reminder we are slated to begin replacing the 2 story School Building Roof the 1st week of February.  Although we are able to complete the project during school hours, we will be disrupting the upper floor classrooms for a couple of weeks.  This will ential some shuffling of room space and dedicating Room A for temporary classroom space.  The hope is the School and Media center will be completed by mid-March.  They will then move to the Parish Center Roof.   The Parish Center should be available during the evenings and weekends.  Please bear with us during this time.

The Cub and Boy Scouts will observe Scout Sunday at the 11:30am Mass on Sunday, February 3rd, in recognition of their founding in February 1910.  The Scout Law says that a "Scout is Reverent" and Scouts of all ages promise to do their "Duty to God". These values strengthen youth character in their family, community, and faith.   Keep our scouts in your prayers.

Join the Knights of Columbus for a pancake breakfast on Sunday, February 10th, following the 8am and 9:30am Masses, in the Parish Center.  Donations accepted.

CCW -Fashion Show

On Saturday, February 16th The Parish Center will be bustling with fun, featuring CCW fashion stylist Lisa Grobmyer's new collection of colorful wear suitable for all occasions!   Join the CCW for lunch, friends, and raffles.  Doors open at 11:00am. Cost is $20 per person.  Check the bulletin for further information or call Marlene D'Abramo, 727-521-2507 for registration, payment or questions.

Just a reminder, St. Raphael School students will be off on Friday, February 15th while teachers attend an in-service training.  The School and Parish Office will also be closed on Monday, February 18th in recognition of Presidents' Day.  Moms, dads and students, enjoy the four day weekend!

This year's Annual Pastoral Appeal (APA), "Be Courageous"  begins this month.  For the last six years St. Raphael has been successful in meeting our APA assessment.  This coming year our assessment is $260,566.  With your continued support we will again meet our goal.  APA envelopes are available in the Narthex, and they are also available in your envelope packet.  You may also give through our parish Online Giving or through the Diocese Online Giving account.  THANK YOU for your continued support.
