Happy Labor Day!  We hope that everyone finds time away from their work, whatever it may be, and find time to relax with family or friends.   September is a time that many parish activities begin again; we welcome the busy pace that September brings.  Please visit the website for more details about this month's activities.

Sunday Faith Formation

FIRST DAY - Sunday September 8th

Sunday Faith Formation classes begin promptly at 10:45am on Sunday, September 8th.  If you have yet to register you may  Register here.  Please contact Lynn Edmonds in the  Faith Formation Office for further information or assistance.  We look forward to the Sunday Faith Formation program, helping our young children become better aware of their relationship with Jesus.

There is a Teach-at-Home Parent Meeting scheduled for Tuesday, September 10th in the St. Joseph Room.  Grades K-5th: 7pm-7:30pm; 6th-8th grade: 7:30pm-8pm.

First Reconciliation and First Communion

The First Reconciliation and First Communion class takes place on Tuesday, September 3rd or Monday, September 9th from 6:30pm to 7:30pm.  If you have yet to register please contact our Faith Formation Office at 727-821-7989 or

If you have a child who has not been baptized, or is in Grade 3 and up, and has not made their First Communion, please contact the Faith Formation Office so we can assist you in bringing your children to the sacraments.

Youth Ministry

High School & Middle School Ministries have begun.  Teens are welcome to join our nights and to invite friends!

  • High School youth gather for 5:30pm Mass on Sundays, followed by dinner in the Parish Center, and the night's topic in the Youth Room.  
  • High School Open Youth Room Wednesdays 3pm-5pm.
  • Middle School youth come together on Mondays, from 6:30pm-8pm in the Parish Center.  We have fun while building our faith.

Bible Study Returns


The Wednesday Morning Bible Study begins September 11th with "Lectio-Mark".  The program runs on Wednesdays from 9:15am until 10:45am.  To register or for more information, please contact Marybeth Finster at   

Faith Circles Resume

Faith Circles begin again!  Faith Circles will be meeting at different locations and times with discussions on various topics including Pivotal Players, One Thing is Three, and The Mass. Check out our website for specific details on how to sign up.

Friday, September 13th 6:30pm - 9:30pm

All school age girls of St. Raphael's Catholic School and Parish are invited to bring dad, grandfather, or other father figure to enjoy a night of fun, music, dancing and games. Cost is $40 per couple or $50 for two or more daughters.  Visit to purchase tickets.                             

KOC  Pancake Breakfast

Sunday, September 15th

The Knights of Columbus will be hosting a Pancake Breakfast following the 8am and 9:30am Masses on Sunday, September 15th in the Parish Center.  Begin September right, take the morning off from cooking and join the Knights for fellowship and a tasty breakfast.

Faith Community Nursing

Blood Pressure Screening - September 21st & 22nd 

St. Raphael Faith Community Nursing will be offering Blood Pressure Screenings on the 3rd weekend of the month in the Parish Hall following all Masses, except the Sunday 5:30pm Mass. 

KOC Italian Family "Knight"

Saturday, September 21st at 6:30pm

Help St. Raphael Knights of Columbus (Council 10157) support their charities by joining us on Saturday, September 21st in the Parish Center for their 6th Annual Italian Family "Knight."  For tickets or informaton contact Mr. Terry Winstead at 727-688-6340.

Parish Survey

Thank you to the parishioners who have already responded to the 2019 St. Raphael Parish Survey!  We have sent the Survey to your email, for those who may have missed it, it may have hit your junk mail.  The survey may also be accessed on the parish website homepage or use the link above.  We ask that parishioners take 5 minutes to provide input on where you would like to see St. Raphael focus attention, especially in the areas of Youth, Family and Missionary Discipleship Ministries, in response to our call to Courageously Living the Gospel.  Thank You!
