It is with great sadness that we inform you of the passing of Msgr. J. Bernard Caverly. Msgr. Caverly served as pastor of St. Raphael from June of 1996 until June of 2010 and continued to celebrate Mass here until 2018. He will be missed. Visitation will take place at St. Raphael Church on Tuesday, July 2nd beginning at 10am with the Mass of Christian Burial starting at noon. The CCW will host a reception following the funeral in the Parish Hall.

The Fourth of July is a wonderful celebration of our freedom.  The Independence Day Mass will be celebrated at 8am.  The parish & school offices will be closed Thursday, July 4th and Friday, July 5th.  Enjoy the fireworks and celebrations with your family.

Work Zone Update

The roof on the School and Parish Center will be completed and out of the way by the first full week of July.  Just in time for us to start our next major project: replacing the carpet and installing the LOOP hearing system in the Church.  We will begin that project July 11th targeting the completion by the end of the month.  During the replacement project, we will have some folding chairs available for seating during the weekend Masses.

K-8 Faith Formation 

Registration for K-8 Faith Formation begins at the end of July.  To find out more about the programs learn more about the middle school changes and to register, visit our Faith Formation page on our website

Registration for First Reconciliation and First Communion will be mailed out soon.  Families of children entering the 2nd grade who have been baptized and are currently enrolled in Faith Formation or Catholic School, and have completed the previous year will be contacted.  For those families anticipating First Communion, if you do not receive an invitation, please contact the Faith Formation Office (727-821-7989) or  We look forward to journeying with your children as they prepare to experience these wonderful Sacraments.

If you have a child who has not been baptized, or is in Grade 3 and up, and has not made their First Communion, please contact the Faith Formation Office so we can assist you in bringing your children to the sacraments.

Youth Ministry

Thank you for praying for our middle school teens who attended Hidden Lake camp in June.  The teens really enjoyed the fun, fellowship, and faith experiences.  

Every Wednesday in July middle and high school teens are invited to 7pm daily Mass and then enjoy fun and fellowship in the Youth Room from 7:30-8:30pm.

School's Back - Almost
