Attached is our July email.  As is typical in parish life, activities are a bit light during the month of July.  Many of our families are enjoying vacation time together.  Please don't forget to visit the parish website www.st-raphaels.com for more details and other ministry and organization events this month. The Fourth of July is a wonderful celebration of our freedom.  The parish & school offices will be closed Monday, July 5th.  Have a safe and relaxing holiday weekend!


Blood Drive
July 11th

The Oneblood bus will be here on Sunday, July 11 from 9am to 12:30pm.  Appointments are highly encouraged.  Go to www.oneblood.org/donate-now and use sponsor code 12102 to make an appointment.  Roll up your sleeve and help the many people who depend on blood donors like you!  

All donors will receive a wellness checkup including Covid-19 antibody test, blood pressure, temperature, iron count, pulse and cholesterol screening!  


Youth Ministry

High School Ministry, incoming 9th-12th graders, is continuing through the summer,
Life Teen: Sundays 6:30pm-8:30pm (off on July 4th) in Parish Center
High School Coffee Disciple Group: Wednesday 4:00pm at Kahwa 40th Ave NE 
High School Open Gym: Thursdays, July 8th and 29th 5:30pm in Parish Center

Please Pray for the high school group heading to Camp Covecrest mid July, that it may be a wonderful expereince and that they may grow in their relationship with God. 


RCIA

Are you or someone you know thinking of becoming Catholic?  That can be a daunting thought.  You do not have to decide now, rather journey with us for a while to see if it's what God is calling you to.  Take the next step, contact our Faith Formation Director Lynn Edmonds (727-821-7989- ledmonds@st-raphaels.com) to have an initial conversation where your questions can be answered, and you can learn more about the journey. 


Consecration to St. Joseph

St. Raphael is offering an opportunity for you to learn more about our spiritual father this summer.  This 5-week (33 days) self-guided retreat follows a simple two page reading each day with weekly gatherings for small group discussion either in person or online.  Starting on July 14th Wednesday evenings 7:30pm to 8:30pm (Zoom), contact Marybeth finster, mbfinster@tampabay.rr.com and starting July 15th Thursday mornings (in person), contact Kelly Bermudez rkabermude@aol.com for more details.

School News

As a friendly reminder for our parents and children that St. Raphael School begins classes on Monday, August 9th.  

St. Raphael School has limited seats available for students in Kindergarten through 6th grade.  If you are looking for a small community school providing a traditional Catholic education, please contact the School Office for information at 727-821-9663.
