School might be out but St. Raphael Parish still has many happenings in June. Congratulations Fr. Tim Sherwood

To celebrate Fr. Tim's 25th Anniversary in the Priesthood, the parish is hosting a casual reception, with light refreshments, on Saturday, June 2nd from 5:30pm to 7pm, following the 4:30pm Mass in the Parish Center.  We invite you all to come celebrate this wonderful milestone in his life.  


Eucharistic Procession

The weekend of June 2nd and 3rd marks the Solemnity of the Most Holy Body and Blood of Jesus.  On "Corpus Christi" we walk in the afterglow of Easter Time in company with the Risen Lord, with the Lord's glory visible to all.  Join us for our Eucharistic Procession outside the Church at the conclusion of the 11:30am Mass on Sunday, June 3rd.  Benediction will follow the short procession.  

VBS (Vacation Bible School) is here!

June 4th through June 8th from 9am until noon over 60 kids will particiate in "Shipwrecked, Rescued by Jesus" where our leaders will explore ways to anchor kids in the truth that Jesus carries them through life's storms.   Registration is closed. Diocesan 50th Anniversary Mass!

Saturday, June 16th - 11:00am

The Diocese of St. Petersburg is celebrating its 50th anniversary.  Bishop Parkes will celebrate an Anniversary Mass at St. Jude Cathedral Saturday, June 16th at 11am.  This Mass is a ticketed event, but you can pray along at home via live video stream:

June 17th - Father's Day

St. Raphael Parish is offering a Spiritual Bouquet for those who would like to remember their father (living or deceased) on Father’s Day.  Please contact the Parish Office no later than Monday afternoon, June 11th  to arrange for a card, (727-821-7989) the suggested offering is $10.  Fathers will be remembered at all Masses that weekend.

Baby Bottle Boomerang

June 16th & 17th


Once again we will use the occasion of Father’s Day to support the Foundations of Life Pregnancy Center with the Baby Bottle Boomerang.  After all Masses the weekend of June 16th-17th, baby bottles will be available to take home.  Please fill the bottle with change, bills or checks and return it the following weekend June 23rd  & 24th.  The funds collected provide services to women who are facing unplanned pregnancy.


 Summer Faith Circles


June 14th we will begin one Summer Faith Circle session of Lectio-Eucharist.  Come join us and discover firsthand how Christ's Body and Blood are an integral and wondrous part of God's plan for our Salvation.  This session will be held in Room B on Thursdays from 9:15am-10:45am.  If you have any questions or would like to sign up contact Lisette Shields at


Summer Youth Events

Please keep our youth in your thoughts and prayers during the summer as two groups head to camps in Georgia.  A group of Middle School teens and adults will be attending Hidden Lake Youth Camp starting June 11th.  A group of High School teens will be attending Covecrest Life Teen Camp starting July 2nd.   Watch the bulletin for other summer events.
