Community Life Ministries answers the call to "give food to the hungry, welcome strangers,
clothe the naked, visit the sick and those in prisons..." (Matt 25:31-46)
Through corporal and spiritual works of mercy,
members of the parish reach out to others beyond our parish boundaries in Christian charity.

MINISTRY CONTACTS

  BEREAVEMENT GROUP
Upon the death of a loved one, the survivors have special faith and temporal needs.  The Bereavement Group works to help them through prayer and support.

BLOOD BANK
Florida Blood Services visits St. Raphael's Church four times a year for blood donations.  During the blood drives, information about advance directives is offered.  Blood donors are people who understand preparedness, help others, and are open to making these important decisions before they are needed.  Can you help donate blood or assist at the blood drive?

EVANGELIZATION
We are all called to make the message and mission of Christ known to the world.  Christ inspires the missionary vocation in the hearts of individuals and He raises up in the Church certain groups, which take as their own task the duty of preaching the Gospel.  It is through these efforts that others may share in and experience the Kingdom of God, lead a Christian Life and build up the church for the glory of God.

HOSPITAL VISITATION
Volunteers visit those who are in the hospital and see that the person is doing all right, has someone to talk to and determines how the church's other ministries can assist them during the healing process.

KNIGHTS OF COLUMBUS
Faith, fellowship and philanthropy make up the foundation upon which the Knights of Columbus stand.  Our programs and projects make a difference in the church, our community and to those less fortunate in our midst.  The Knights of Columbus meet twice a month, one business meeting and one social meeting.  These meetings allow likeminded men to join in a common cause and offer the opportunity to develop and cement friendships for years to come.

MEALS ON WHEELS
The Meals on Wheels Ministry delivers food to shut-ins and homebound people in our community. Five days a week meals are taken to people who are unable to prepare their own food. Ministry members also check safety and general health conditions. Various days and routes are available.

NURSING HOME VISITATION
Many elderly at nursing homes do not have anyone to visit them. St. Raphael's church ministers to the needs of those at Shore Acres Rehabilitation Center. Visiting times are flexible, parents are welcome to bring children and it takes only 1 or 2 hours a week.

SCOUTS
Boy Scouts:  Tiger, Cub and Boy Scouts
Girl Scouts:
 Cadettes, Junior,  Brownie and Daisy
These groups provide the opportunity for boys (1st to 12th grade ) and girls (K to 12th) to learn and develop valuable skills, in addition to broadening their appreciation of moral values, in a relaxed and fun environment.  leaders for Cub Scouts, Boys Scouts, and Girl Scouts are trained by their District Scouting Council and adhere to Scout Program Formats.

ST. VINCENT DE PAUL SOCIETY
Inspired by Gospel values, the St. Vincent de Paul Society leads men and women to join together to grow spiritually by offering person-to-person service to the needy and suffering.  To address the needs of the community, the Society assists to providing the basic necessities to those in need and comfort and encouragement for the lonely and the alienated.
